Frequently Asked Questions

1. How do I reset my website login password?

  1. Go to the website http://sycpb.org, and click on the "Login" link at the upper right;  Then click on "Forgot password?"
  2. A new "Reset Password Request" form will be displayed. Enter your E-mail address (which is also your Username) in the box opposite "E-Mail Address:", and the Captcha anti-spam code, and then click on the “Submit” button.
  3. The system will then send you an E-mail which will include a link to reset your password. Click on the link to reset your password;
  4. A "Reset Password" form will be displayed. Enter your new password in both boxes.  Then click on the "Set New Password" button.  Your password should now be changed.

2. What can I do if I am not receiving e-mails from the Stillwater Yacht Club?

Most e-mail problems are caused by one of the following issues: either (a) your email profile in our website is not set correctly; (b) the Club has the wrong e-mail address for you, or (c) your Spam filtering/blocking is getting in the way.

To check your email profile on our website, log in to the website, then click on your name at the top right of the home page, and select “View Profile” from the drop-down menu. On the resulting View Profile page, select “Email subscriptions” from the profile menu. Under “Subscriptions” your profile should show “Subscribed” with a green check mark for both Automatic announcements, and for Mass emails from administrators. To change these entries, click on the “Edit Profile” button.

Check your Junk Mail or Spam folder to determine if the Club email was diverted there. If so, see FAQ No. 3 below.

3. What can I do to prevent my Spam filter from trapping emails from the Club and putting them in my Junk Mail or Spam folder, or rejecting them altogether?

Some email software has a provision to open the e-mail messages in the Junk/Spam folder and designate them as “Not Junk” or “Not Spam.”  This will usually add the Sender's email address or domain name to a list of approved Senders.

Some spam filtering software requires that the sender’s address be in a list of approved senders ("whitelisted"), or entered in your Contacts or Address Book. E-mails from the Club normally come from one of the following addresses:

These addresses should be "whitelisted" or entered in your list of safe/approved senders, and/or added to your email Contacts list.  If possible, simply whitelist the domains "sycpb.org" and "wildapricot.com"

4. How do I add sycpb.org and wildapricot.com to my "Safe Senders" list?

Email servers may block or filter mail originating from an external network but with the appearance of internal email. This is relatively common measure email servers use to protect against phishing attempts.  Click on the following link for general information on how to add "sycpb.org" to your Safe Senders list:
